Goober Drilling is a leading drilling contractor in the Anadarko and Arkoma Basins of Oklahoma. Goober Drilling owns and operates 37 land rigs in the Mid-Continent area of the United States. A majority of Goober Drilling’s rigs have premium characteristics such as SCR and A/C electric, high horsepower, top drives and advanced controls that allow for the greater vertical, directional and horizontal drilling flexibility that is necessary for drilling unconventional reserves. Seventy-eight percent of the Company’s fleet has horsepower of 750 or higher and the average depth capacity of the fleet is approximately 13,500 feet. Sixty-eight percent of the Company’s current rig fleet is less than 2.5 years old and two additional rigs are currently under construction.
Goober Drilling also owns and operates trucks, cranes, loaders, dozers and other construction equipment used to transport rigs and build drilling sites. Goober Drilling’s ownership of rolling stock reduces dependency on third party providers and downtime between rig moves.
